Depression

Depression

Everyone feels sad or low at times. If you have felt this way for weeks or months, and if your feelings are affecting your ability to function or take pleasure from life, you may be depressed.

A range of treatments may be needed for depression, including antidepressants, which can be prescribed by your doctor.

Counselling can help you to get to the roots of your depression and support you in moving towards self acceptance. I can be alongside you as you explore and acknowledge difficult feelings.

Together, we can consider ways that you can take care of yourself and get what you need from your relationships. We can also work to identify and challenge patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviour which may not be serving you.
